SOL#27: I cried…

I cried…

for the friend whose mother is in a nursing home and she can no longer visit daily.

I cried…

when I read about families not being with loved ones when they are dying.

I cried…

when hours and hours of my work was not acknowledged or mentioned.

I cried…

when I thought about not seeing my parents for weeks and weeks and weeks.

I cried…

when I learned my student didn’t join us yesterday because he was overwhelmed.

I cried…

when I thought of the student who didn’t join us and I don’t know why.

I cried…

when I thought of the amount of work that is ahead of me.

Yesterday I cried.

  1. I have cried too! My mom used to say that sometimes you just need a good cry and I believe there is truth in that, get the emotions out and you can usually focus better. Hang in there, we’re in this together! 🙂

  2. There are so many things to cry about these days. Your list is a powerful reminder of that. I love the simplicity of this post. It makes the emotion really stand out. Glad to see in the comments that today was better!

      1. Ain’t that the truth! I couldn’t agree more, with each of your points. I’m very thankful to have stumbled upon this group. It has been more of a blessing to me than I ever could have imagined. Feeling #grateful.
